Overall, I want to convey authenticity in my artwork and photography. The subject should be authentic in itself whether it is a person or inanimate object. This can look like me framing an object in a way that makes the viewer aware of its position in a certain space and the role it plays. I want the viewer to be able to draw conclusions about the subject based on a static image. I can give the viewer context with the objects I keep in frame as well as the tone I create with the lighting and editing. Depending on what I think the subject is most defined by in that moment, I will shoot in a way that emphasizes it. Hopefully the photos I take say something that resonates with any viewer and leaves them thinking about what lies beyond the photo itself.
